Membership Commitment

Members of Soli deo gloria Church commit themselves to the following practices and beliefs:

  1. Participate in the weekly worship service on a regular basis being faithful to attend the means of grace ie. fellowship, prayer, word, table. (Acts 2:41-42; Heb 10:19-25; Rom 15:5- 6; 1 Cor 12:12-27)

  2. Exercise your spiritual gifts in loving your neighbor and evangelizing the lost. (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4:1-16; Rom 12; 1 Pet 4:10-11)

  3. Contribute financially to your church in a consistent, generous manner. (2 Cor 9:6-15; Exod 35:20- 36:7; 1 Tim 5:8, 17-18; 1 Cor 16:1-4; 2 Cor 8:1-15; Luke 16:10-13)

  4. Respond positively to the leadership of the Elder Board in matters of church life, mission, vision and if necessary discipline. (Matt 18:15-17; 1 Tim 5:17-18; 1 Pet 5:1-7; 1 Thess 5:12-13; 1 Cor 16:10-12, 15-18; Heb 13:7, 17; Gal 6:6; Titus 1:9)

  5. Agree with and recognize that all preaching and teaching at Soli Church will honor Holy Scripture (66 books of the Bible), the Confession of Faith, and the creeds of the church listed at www.solichurch.com

  6. Take responsibility if you leave Soli Church to go with the blessing of our church family, and as soon as possible, unite with another gospel preaching church where you can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's word.

Membership Covenant

Having received Jesus Christ as my Savior, and on the profession of my faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, I do now in the presence of God most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with Soli Deo Gloria Church, as one body in Christ. I commit to faithfully fulfill the commitments of membership as outlined above by God’s help.
